Benches and seats
Outdoor structures that are dedicated to or can be used as seating. Often in parks or green spaces, but sometimes part of another building. Many have evolved from the simple park bench into elaborate designs.
Commercial
Any building or location that is used mainly for commercial reasons not directly linked to food and drink (see pubs) such as shops, factories, warehouses, hair and beauty services, etc.
Religious
Buildings and structures built for religious worship or community gathering. Often architecturally striking and adorned with religious symbols. Regional New Zealand is often over represented by Christian religions.
Decay and death
Alleyway
A path, road, or track defined by being between two sides of another building, fence, or structure. Providing depth of field shots for entering, transiting, or exiting shots, often in a controlled location.
Community Buildings and Facilities
Buildings include libraries, museums, medical, sports, and local authorities like council, fire and police. Excludes parks and green areas (see parks), and cinema or theatre (see cinema and theatre).
Cinema and theatre
Buildings that are dedicated as or at least contain a cinema screen and theatre style seats. Most are multi-purpose now sharing their space with museums or community groups.
Pubs, Hotels, takeaways and cafes
Buildings that are used to serve food and/or drink in or from. Often in dedicated buildings but sometimes using repurposed community buildings.
